As the year draws to an end, it is clear that we have many hurdles and challenges to overcome again. Nevertheless, we approach 2021 with cautious optimism. The welcome news of a vaccine is a morale boost during these dark days – it will help save lives and hopefully bring an end to the measures the hospitality sector has embraced so well in the past months.

It’s fair to say that the sector here in Wales is disappointed and somewhat frustrated by the new rules that will be imposed on many of our customers today at 18.00. There is an urgency to rid our communities of Covid-19, however the impact that the new regulations will have on businesses and the wellbeing of many over the festive period saddens us.

To our customers who are closing for a short while, we’ll be ready and waiting for when you re-open. To those who will continue to trade, we are here to provide the best service as always during the build up to Christmas and beyond.

Wrth i’r flwyddyn ddod i ben mae’n amlwg bod gennym lawer o rwystrau a heriau i’w goresgyn eto. Serch hynny, rydym yn agosáu at 2021 gydag optimistiaeth gofalus. Mae’r newyddion am frechlyn i’w groesawu ac yn hwb sylweddol yn ystod y dyddiau tywyll hyn. Gobeithio y bydd hyn yn gymorth i bywydau pawb a ddaw’r mesurau y mae’r sector lletygarwch wedi’u  mabwysiadu mor llwyddiannus yn ystod y misoedd diwethaf i ben.

Mae’n deg dweud bod y sector yma yng Nghymru yn siomedig, ac yn rhwystredig braidd gan y rheolau newydd sy’n cael eu gosod ar lawer o’n cwsmeriaid heddiw am 18:00. Er ein bod yn cytuno’n gyffredinol â mesurau rhesymol i helpu i gael gwared ar Covid-19 o’n cymunedau, mae’n ein tristau i feddwl am yr effaith y bydd y rheoliadau newydd hyn yn eu cael ar fusnesau a lles llawer dros yr ŵyl.

I’n cwsmeriaid sydd yn cau, edrychwn ymlaen at gwasanaethu pan fyddwch chi’n ailagor. I’r rhai sy’n parhau i fasnachu rydyn ni yma i ddarparu’r gwasanaeth gorau posibl yn ystod y cyfnod cyn y Nadolig a thu hwnt .
