Family commitment to quality

Riddlers is a family owned business which was founded in the 1920s. Eric Riddler, the present managing director, is the third generation of Riddlers. His son Oliver is now the Assistant General Manager.

The company is based in Newton Abbot in Devon where a modern prupose built factory provides the perfect facility for the controlled processing of Riddlers products.

Grade A certified

Riddlers' attention to all aspects of quality and food safety has been highlighted by achieving the the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Food Standard certification grade A.

Riddlers have also achieved the Sea Fish Industry Authority Seafish Processor Quality award. This is a tremendous achievement and a tribute to Riddlers' commitment to quality.

Own boats

Riddlers source most of their produce from the South West. A team of day boats fishing exlcusively for Riddlers supply the excellent quality fish available from the local grounds. Riddlers buyers also represent the company daily on all the fish markets in Devon and Cornwall.

Day 3 delivery

Plucked from the sea on day 1, orders are packed in a sealed container and transferred to Castell Howell's state-of-the-art depot in South Wales before being delivered to customer premises by the time of the first delivery on day three. An order placed on Monday, could be served for your customer's Wednesday lunch!

Each consignment is labelled with storage information and customer details and will stay fresh in its container for 72 hours.
