2008 was an outstanding year for Mario Dalavalle who has just been awarded the prestigious National Ice Alliance Silver Shield for the best dairy ice cream in the UK.

Mario is third generaton ice cream maker based in Carmarthenshire, West Wales. He combines his Italian heritage with the best local ingredients, including milk and cream sourced from a 15 mile radius of his unit, to produce truly stunning ice creams.

Mario has topped this award by winning more awards in the Royal Welsh Show this year. His Dyffryn Tywi Chocolate Ice Cream won first prize in the Flavoured Category and his Marios Chocolate & Hazelnut Ice Cream won third prize in the same category.
