Celtic Pride is a collaboration of three of Wales' leading agri-food businesses all producing food to the highest standards. The Welsh Meat Company, Castell Howell Foods and Wynnstay Farmers. Beef marketed under the Celtic Pride brand can be traced from the farm to the customer and is produced and processed in Wales to meet the highest standards of quality, health, taste, flavour and safety. These standards are achieved by the adoption of best practice in production, procurement, processing and sale with the meat being matured for 21 days. All this is borne out by the consistent flavour which is second to none. Scientists from the Institute of Grassland and Environmental Research, Aberystwyth have been working with Welsh livestock farmers to make sure that lovers of Welsh beef are able to benefit from the latest research on meat quality when they tuck into a succulent steak or fine roast. |
